AQUACULTURE STEWARDSHIP COUNCIL (ASC)

The Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) is an independent non-profit organization and labelling organization that establishes protocol on farmed seafood while ensuring sustainable aquaculture.

The ABC provides sustainable and responsible aquaculture producers with a stringent certification and labelling scheme guaranteeing to consumers that the seafood they are purchasing is sustainable for the environment, and socially responsible.

BRITISH RETAIL CONSORTIUM (BRC)

The British Retail Consortium (BRC) first introduced its Global Standard for Food Safety, a GFSI benchmarked standard, in 1998. Today the BRC Global Standards is a leading brand and consumer protection organization, used by over 26,000 certificated suppliers over 130 countries, with certification issued through a global network of accredited certification bodies.

BRC Global Standards' guarantee the standardization of quality, safety and operational criteria and ensure that manufacturers full their legal obligations and provide protection for the end consumer.

INTERNATIONAL FOOD STANDARD

The International Food Standard (IFS) is a common food safety standard with a uniform
evaluation system used to qualify and select suppliers. It helps retailers ensure the food safety oftheir products and monitors the quality level of producers of retailer branded food products.

BEST AQUACULTURE PRACTICES (BAP)

BAP was developed by the Global Aquaculture Alliance (GAA) and is managed by the Aquaculture Certification Council (ACC). BAP certification ensures food safety, environmental protection, traceability, animal welfare, and social responsibility.

SA8000

The SA8000 Standard is the world’s leading social certification program. It provides a holistic framework allowing organizations of all types, in any industry, and in any country to demonstrate their dedication to the fair treatment of workers.

HAZARD ANALYSIS AND CRITICAL CONTROL POINTS

HACCP is a management system in which food safety is addressed through the analysis and control of biological, chemical, and physical hazards from raw material production, procurement and handling, to manufacturing, distribution and consumption of the finished product.

HALAL CERTIFICATION

HALAL certification is a process, which ensures the features and quality of the products
according to the rules established by the Islamic Council that allow the use of the mark Halal.

With Halal Certification, products are permissible under Islamic law. Products are therefore edible, drinkable or usable by Muslims.
